I was born in 1971 and raised in Treuchtlingen (region: Central Franconia in Bavaria, Germany). I am interested in language, music and politics. After graduating from high-school I studied English and French (and later also German) at the following universities from 1991 to 1997: Eichstätt, Germany, University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Sorbonne in Paris, France, and Graz, Austria. Since 1998 I've been a linguist at the Chair of English Linguistics at the University of Eichstätt, since 2016 head of the research unit InES at Vhs Donauwörth. I held interim or guest professorships in Münster, Bayreuth, Erfurt, Freiburg, and Budapest. From 2012 to 2016 , I was also Director of Europäisches Haus Pappenheim (EHP). On these pages you can get to know me as a linguist, as an entertainer, as an author, a teacher/lecturer and as a private person.
